The
seven ponds and lakes divided between six holes ensure
that the player and the ball do not always make it
back to the Clubhouse together. The
sixty bunkers filled with white quartz sand- will
remind more than one player of their childhood. The
typical Mallorcan walls some ancient and some restored
? add a special beauty. The three different tones
of green of the grass on the course means that nobody
will be able to use the excuse about not having been
able to make out the fairway, or rather, the rough. The
course is irrigated with recycled water and rainwater
collected in tanks. The Andratx Club de Golf has its
own desalination plant, which shows just how serious
they are about protecting the environment.

Says:
in our opinion the most professional
course in Mallorca. Andratx has breathtaking views
and tee times are well ordered so you can enjoy a
reletively undisturbed 18 holes. Andratx is very hilly,
so less physicaly able golfers will have to hire a
cart. The course is also reasonably difficult with
long, dog legged holes. If your handicap is above
18, you may get a bit lost. But for a world class
golfing experience in Mallorca. Andratx is hard to
beat.
A
Golfers View:
Constructed in a valley between the mountains in the
exclusive area known as “Camp de Mar,”
Golf de Andratx was opened in 2000. With views across
the bay, this is a stunning place to spend a few hours
hitting a little white ball. As soon as you tee off
on the first, you recognise the need for accuracy.
The par three second is extremely tight, then the
course totally opens up A great feature of this course
is its clever design, as there are very few back and
forward holes where you never lose sight of the matches
in front or behind you. Its total length of 5,700
metres makes it very playable for golfers of all standards.
Author’s favourite:
Having only played here on two or three occasions,
I don’t feel qualified to pick out a personal
favourite, but would draw your attention to the par
5 finishing hole (435 mts) whose lake has, on each
occasion, been my undoing.
