Whatever time of year, the Sol Antillas is, in our view, the perfect “Magalluf” hostelry for golfers young and old. This 4 star property enjoys many in house facilities. The rooms are spacious and the buffet style meals served in restaurant represent fantastic value.

Perhaps its greatest asset is that, while officially situated in the noisy resort of Magalluf, it is right on the western outskirts, thus affording its guests a little tranquillity should they require periods of peace and quiet. The quieter end of Magalluf beach is just a walk through the hotel’s pool area and down a few steps.

El Poniente Golf Club is a mere two kilometres to the west of the hotel, while the Santa Ponsa club is another four kilometres along the same road. The Bendinat club is just nine kilometres down the coastal road to Palma.

The Sol Antillas is hugely popular in the mid summer months with tourists of many nationalities, making reservations between June and September something of a lottery. So, we confidently suggest staying here in the Months of December, January and February when the hotel should be quieter, the evenings a little chilly but the Golf, absolutely fantastic.

The Uto Palace, a really international hotel, located in the area of St Agustin, which is popular with many British residents. Don’t be put off by the properties rather austere exterior, as one look from your guestroom terrace across the small bay and the “Med” beyond will confirm that you have made a great choice.

As is the case with all our hotel recommendations, you wont find the “Uto” to be a package holiday property, so while there is no adjacent beach, the hotels pool area and bathing platform
offer direct entrance to the sea. Another benefit of staying at this hotel is the secure underground car park which allows you the choice of leaving your golf clubs in your hire car overnight.
As previously mentioned, many different nationalities opt for the “Uto.” Specially business travellers who appear to require more from their hotels, and we can confirm that this property delivers. The rooms are well equipped with internet access and satellite TV, the restaurant offers a high standard of quality and service and the indoor and outdoor pools are just the job after a round of golf.
St Agustin is part residential part resort, so you should, if you wish, find many British locals who will be happy to help you with whatever you need to know.

The Nixe Palace is definitely a hotel for golfers (and non golfers) who need a little pampering. The quality of the guestrooms, public rooms and fitness areas are amongst the finest on the island, and the hotel’s restaurant, “A Popa,” is renowned for its superb fish and seafood dishes. But should you wish to sample other eateries in the area, you will find many good quality restaurants serving everything from traditional Mallorcan cuisine to fine Thai food.

Most of the guestrooms overlook the bay and beach of Cala Mayor. They are well equipped with everything from internet access to towelling dressing gowns. The entire hotel underwent a complete refurbishment in 1999, bringing it to a standard that attracts visitors such as the Real Madrid football club who use the hotel when playing the island’s La Liga side “RCD Mallorca”
While all the golf courses in the southwest are well within reach, you will be ideally situated for visits to the clubs of Bendinat, Muntaner, Son Vida and Son Termens.

Hotel Mirador is our choice of hotels in the heart of Mallorca’s capital, Palma. Located on the vibrant Paseo Maritimo, your trip, no matter what time of year, will be full of options. A brisk morning walk along the edge of the Bay of Palma will set you up for your golf. On returning from the golf club how about a light lunch in one of the numerous street cafes. Then switch on to Palma’s night life, where the bars, restaurants and night clubs stay open until the early hours.

The 4 star Mirador is perfectly situated overlooking the seriously expensive yachts and motor cruisers moored in “Club de Mar”. No pool but with beaches either side of the Capital, a swim in the Mediterranean is only a stones throw. The roof top restaurant offers views of the entire Paseo with the cathedral to your left and the world’s cruise ships to your right. The rooms are well equipped with all your daily needs and the main bar on the ground floor is perfectly placed for a post golf pint or a pre dinner gin and tonic.

The Paseo forms part of Palma’s ring road so finding your golf courses wont require you to weave around the Citie’s narrow streets. Indeed, staying at the Mirador makes the two courses at Son Antem a little nearer, just aim for the airport and keep going.
