Consisting of 3 courses, only Santa
Ponsa 1 is open to the public. The best groundmanship
on the island bar none, beautifully cultivated in
a very traditional style with lots of water and
a riot of beautiful floral colour. Santa Ponsa 1,
apparently , boasts the longest hole on the island,
the 10th hole is 590 metres long but don't let that
put you off (as if it would) because even those
with a high handicap can play some great golf.

You may be aware that there are three courses within
this vast Golf urbanisation, but as Santa Ponsa
II and III are available only to their shareholders,
there’s no point in describing them. Santa
Ponsa I was designed and built in the eighties and
is now well established. A very broad course and
beautifully set out. Not too long at just over 6,000
metres and fairly flat. Like Bendinat, Santa Ponsa
can be busy at times, but what the heck, you’re
on your holidays. Until the last couple of years,
Santa Ponsa played host to The Balearic
Open. This course is a real treat to play.

The par 4 sixteenth (364mts) is a golfers hole.
Big dog leg sweeping right alongside the big lake
where your approach shot can be tricky as the water
cuts in towards the fairway. The par 5 tenth at
560 mts is also worthy of mention.
