Son Mutaner is
an extremely pretty
golf course with wide fairways and 18 holes designed
so players with a handicap of 36 can play next to
golfers with handicaps in single figures. The course
is designed to be in bloom all year round with a wide
array of flowers so horticulturalists will be in their
element. Unfortunately you have to be a guest at either
Mardaval, Son Vida or the Arabella Sheraton to play
the course. Bummer.

Golfers View:
Located on the same development
as Son Vida Golf, this course was completed some five
years ago. Longer & more difficult than Son Vida
in most respects although the fairways are generally
more open. The greens are very big and three puts
can become an unpleasant habit. The only significant
water runs the length of the par 5 second and the
par 4 third, although a wayward tee shot on the par
4 sixth may catch the small lake to the right.
Author’s favourite:
Many holes at
Son Muntaner catch the eye, and I believe this course
will, when settled down, become one of true class.
The par 5 fifteenth (517 mts) is a bit of a monster
when the wind is unfavourable and the approach shot
requires extra precision.
